Joshua Sharp is an award-winning producer, editor and media strategist who has worked with over a dozen statewide and national Republican campaigns.
During the 2012 election cycle, Sharp led the development of an in-house creative team at the Republican National Committee that set the gold standard for rapid response admaking. Sharp’s emphasis on instant turnaround, high quality web ads increased RNC YouTube views by 750% over the previous election cycle, gathering 14 million views on YouTube and another 90 million views in earned media. His work in 2012 alone earned 13 Pollie Awards, the most Pollies ever won by the RNC in a single year.
As the lead producer/editor, Sharp directly produced 150 ads and edited over 125 ads, while also designing over 65 graphics projects, including online display ads, infographics, print materials, mailers, newspaper ads, website designs, and branding for a variety of RNC products.
During the 2010 midterm election season, Sharp worked as a producer, writer and editor at The Stevens & Schriefer Group, assisting with a wide array of television commercials, radio advertisements and web videos in high-profile gubernatorial and U.S. Senate races across the country.
Previously, Sharp was Director of Online Media for California Republican gubernatorial candidate Steve Poizner, overseeing the campaign website, social networking, online advertising, web videos and graphic design.
Sharp is a graduate of the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication (B.A. Communication, cum laude).
