Empire State BuildingJoshua Sharp is a Republican media strategist focusing on the integration of new media technology with modern media strategies.  A recent graduate of the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication (B.A. Communication, cum laude), the former investigative journalist and opinion columnist now works as director of online media for a California Republican gubernatorial campaign.

Successive internships in state, federal and foreign legislative offices cultivated a professional interest in political communication. While studying abroad in Edinburgh, Scotland, at the age of 20, Sharp wrote speeches, press releases and briefing materials for a Member of the Scottish Parliament. In fall 2008, he served as co-chair and lead spokesperson for what became the second-largest chapter of Students for McCain in California.

Raised in the rural farming community of Corcoran, California, Sharp is also working to establish a non-profit to address low application rates by Corcoran High seniors to top-tier universities outside their region.
